What else would you be doing out there? There is still at least 2 feet of solid ice on there. I was out on monday to get my shack and the edges were starting to get pretty slushy.

well if you want to know that bad i was planning on buying a boat this weekend
and it is close to pine so i thought i could see if it's water worthy or not

Not uptight, but you say what you're up to, probably get a lot more responses and friendly chit chat. It's always nice to know what peeps are up to...

So, what boat you thinking of buying? Going to bass pro? they have a sweet deal on a tahoe sport and fish, for around $20K i think. A nice boat for sure and I might get one soon but waiting for out economic problems to straighten out.

I didn't mean to come across as an a-hole Jesse. It'll be a little while before you see open water on pine. Probably not until the 2nd or 3rd week in may I would guess. There was a pretty good ice cover there this year.

I know how you feel Jesse I was in the same boat last year with a new boat and no open water. I had to wait until the weekend before May long last year for pine. The southern lakes are the ones that come off first, but not for a while yet. Congrats on the boat and have a good season.
