Gun Dog Supplies

Just wondering where everyone buys their supplies - checkcords, whistles, vests etc. for their dogs. I like G&E pharmacy in Edmonton for great deals on most dog supplies but they cater to the basics and rightfully so. I have looked at items from the U.S.A. - lcsupply.com and gundogsupply.com but wondering if there are any Canadian suppliers around.

Any info would be great!

G&E pharmacy is good for the basics. Wholesale also has some items but you have to get there before their picked over.

SIR is probably the best Canadian supplier. But their selection isn't as extensive as Cabelas.

Look at the CPDC newsletter on there. They are in Chestermere and will order anything from Lcsupply from you. But really ordering from Lioncountry is great. I have never had a problem from them. I also use Gun Dog Supply (http://www.gundogsupply.com)

I think it would be worthwhile to check out and try to support the Lion Country distributor in Canada. Everyone one here is wishing for a Cabela's etc. but here we have a real gun dog supply company and it would be a shame if we just pass it over. I am pretty much set for all the supplies a person might be needing and as such have not checked out the business yet, but I do know the Linville's are good folk.

They have it in the states. I find them to have some of the best pricing and customer service. Have ordered a few times from them without and hassle and will be throwing together another order in a week or so here.

Harvey is a good dog man and runs Brittanys under the Amazing prefix. Contact him and see what he has. I have not been there but understand that he carries a good selection of the lcsupply training gear.

Scott I have not been there either. We are all heaidng to Wessex on sunday maybe I will check them out. Some firends get all thier toys and stuff their and say they carry LCsupply stuff but nothing like launchers. I hope they carry some TT russells and wholesale dont carry the field series collars.

Ryan - if you are looking for TT collars in Calgary try Phil Oldale (in the phone book) of Collars Canada. He used to carry a bunch of different TT collars.

I have bought all my TT stuff from Phil Oaldale in Calgary. I don't know his number but a 411 search will bring it up pretty quick. Excellent fellow to deal with.
