It`s the Most wonderful time of the year!!!!

Today we got to take out a few Friends and family,some son in laws that have not had the chance to get a gun up this year , to friends who have been cleared of cancer,to brothers when you look over and see smiles ...u no its all worth it, when family come out to the field not to shoot but just to be part of the hunt and laugh and smile.to say it was a great shoot might be a understatement.

we all get together to clean the birds, and someone says hey look at this ..first band in over 15 years on a Canada goose.

They blew by us doing a 101mph, went down about 500 yards and made there way back 15 ft off the ground,,hanging there like it was slow motion, seemed like forever before we yell takem,,many a time we got up to early.....that.... are by the time we got up to shoot they back peddled 15 yards..for the guys just starting, I will say not ONCE thru the whole hunt a goose call was blown.

Always nice to find a band on a goose.Did you phone it in.Nice to get info on where and when banding took place.

Wise words here.....

goose calls are usually not necessary if one gets the "X" and sets up proper. If the birds are used to the spot.... they'll come.


We've been seeing alot of very comfortable groups around...
