Anybody have a fishhunter pro and used it for ice fishing. The bottom of the lake was crazy on the flasher but no bites.

Mine seems to be really unreliable. Sometimes it will show nothing while I know that there are fish there and others will show lots of action when I don't believe there to be much. Might be due to water clarity as I haven't really figured out the gain and sensitivity functions. If you have any tips would love some feedback.

Try playing with the sensitivity till you can see you jig and bait just above bottom 5 " inches but no other clutter on the screen.

I have seen this on certain lakes that have lots of small minnows.

Use the Flasher portion of mine last weekend for the first time.. You gotta mess with the power bar to get it to work well. Really happy with the unit. Only problem is it eats phone Power . Other thing is make sure there's no slush in the hole

any suggestions on a real flasher? I can spend around 350$ or is a camera better

You will have to find a used flasher for that price. I think the flasher is far more important than a camera if you can only have one.

The phone amounted anythings are severely limited by the poor battery life of most smart phones, especially in the cold.

A camera would be fun though for my wife and son
