Just got a call from a friend who owns my shack with me.....his buddy said he picked up the regs and there is a 0 catch limit on gull for next year?

Personally I call B.S but are the regs out already?

Any updates appreciated.....

Maybe they will do walleye tags, some days in the summer I caught so many couldn't keep them off when trying to catch pike.

Should make it zero for all lakes in Alberta for a couple years and let mother nature do her thing.

Can bet you this is gunna set a few people off but everyone thinks they are a biologists and could run these lakes so much better by shutting them down for fish retention...see legal retention isn't the problem its the illegal keeping of fish and high predator populations ...a size limit on them would eliminate the problem for a while...allow the breeders to go back and allows people to keep a few smaller ones for diner

Also there would be 0 chance your friend has a copy of 2017/2018 fishing regulations unless he wrote them, those dont come out till atleast after april for the public...when i worked for Canadian tire in shipping reciving the earliest i ever saw them was in late march.....

Your not trying to imply that the decline in the Whitefish population is due to the Walleye are you?

Well it's just obvious that walleye are over populated compared to other species at gull
