Hook 4 base maps

Bought a Hook 4 ice machine. Reading on line says it comes with base maps of 3000 lakes.
How do u check what lakes it has?
Do they just show up on the Chart screen when u show up at a lake that has the mapping?

The lakes on the base maps are all in the USA, nothing much in Canada at all.
You need a navionics chip or you can download what`s on the insight genesis website. You will have to create an account and register your unit with them.

So are there any tricks to punching in waypoints from my old garmin? I couldn't figure out how to punch them in manually
