Hwy3 closed west of Fernie

Hwy closure west of Fernie. Semi hit lizard creek bridge. I've been here three hours now. Latest report is their waiting for engineers before they can pull the truck out. Hope they don't need a new bridge.:)

...road still.closed. I'm told it will be reopening to single lane traffic in about an hour. There is apparently significant damage to the westbound abutment. Likely only single lane traffic for a few days or weeks depending on the weather.

Single vehicle incident. Semi. Roads are/were wet with light slush on the shoulders. Light rain and 3 or 4 degrees on the plus side.

And I'm officially out of hours. Worse - it's past my bed time.
