Ice on payne or Dipping Vatt????

Dose anyone know if the ice is off of these two trout lakes in southern Alberta???? looking at hauling out the boat....

Talked to my dad today. Told me Dipping Vat is still covered so I would assume Payne is as well.

Yah friend of mine was out at payne today and said it was still froze Solid but getting slushy...another week or 2!!

Went for a drive today. Dipping Vat 100% ice free. Payne still pretty much covered. Open water just west of the boat launch. By the weekend a fair chunk should be wide open. Amazing what a few days (and lots of wind) will do.

I was looking at the forecast and trying to figure out where to fish this weekend. Has the wind blowing good in the south country? I know Payne comes off quick once the wind picks up, i also know its a fun lake at ice out. And has anyone drove by Police? I'm guessing its still locked up as Payne usually comes off first but it has been a goofy spring. Any ideas?
