I've been playing with the powders R19 and IMR4350 for my 338 win.

Can powders in the same burn rate range have a dramatic effect on accuracy?

I'm still working on the accurracy issues, thus far I'm not totally satisfied. But with the recent shortage of powder I want to stock up and get a couple of 5 or 8 lb jars.

I'm leaning towards the IMR4350 based on the books.

For the guys that are reloading the 338 win, what powders have you had the best success with?

The bullet is 225 SST or Accubond.

I use 4350 in my 338 mag ,but also find that fedral primers do not give me good groups,(3 inch groups)don't no why !
Rem 9 1/2 primer give me 1 inch groups

My rule of thumb is get poweder you can always get and is available most places most times of the year. Or get it in bulk.
That pretty much rules out the RL powders since they are a PITA to get in bulk, and their supply cycles too much for my liking.
And this is from a guy who loved RL22 in his 300Win Mag, and 284Win.
I've since gone to Hodgdon or IMR, both can be had in bulk here:www.higginsonpowders.com/.../index.htm (http://www.higginsonpowders.com/pages/934271/index.htm)
As suggested try either 4350(load data is'nt interchaingable)
Might also consider both 4831's(same caveat as above).
Try here for load data:data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp (http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp)
