Does anyone have info on Gap Lake? I fished it a few times last year from shore. Have seen lots of guys on the water but never seen a fish , Was told monster browns. Its 30% open water and open all year I believe. Just wondering if its worth being the first guy on the water there or not. Did mostly top water and sub flies last year , guess it it time to bounce the bottom a little this year there. I know its not ice fished as it didnt fully ice over. I did see some holes on Grotto Pond thought that would winter kill for sure.

I've seen some big browns come out of Gap Lake, - mostly taken very late in the evening and taken on big, dark buggers.
I've had luck in the Bow, as well - right where the Gap Lake culvert flows in.

We tried Gap lake on the weekend and got one bite. I was positive there were fish in there!

There are supposed to be some giant Browns in that lake. From what I've seen on pictures, fish in that lake are up to 12lb. Only thing is, they don't like to get on hook. This coming sunday/monday I'm heading there too, hopefully the river stays clear.

I pulled up this lake on Anglers Atlas, its only 8 feet deep at its deepest point according to the depth chart but it says there are Brookies, browns, and Whitefish in there.

There is a channel that runs from the boat launch to the culvert on the back side the flows into the Bow. There is some spots in there that are deeper that 8 feet. But on average its not a deep lake

So, can the fish move between the bow and the lake by that culvert?

Don't expect to take the kids there and catch fish. There are not many fish and the ones that are their are wise. Many hours to fish ratio lake.
