Hey guys, I'm having a hell of a time finding an underwater camera with 150 feet of cable min. I don't care if it's colour or black and white. Tips or suggestions? I'm more than willing to even buy an old used one or make a diy project if needed. Thanks in advance!

Will have to be a DIY project. I know of no commercially made with that amount. I have a 100' on my Aqua vu Scout, but that is the longest I know of. You may want to talk to Marcum and Aqua Vu and ask if they will do a custom length for you, but I doubt they will.

Look for an older Atlantis AUW701 they have a 200ft cable on the camera

I gotta ask, why do you need 150 feet of cable? You're unlikely to see much of anything at that depth even in very clear water. I have 100 feet of cable with my Marcum VS825 SD and the deepest I've gone is about 60 feet. Can't see too much really. Snow cover or cloudy ice makes it worse. And in the summer the water will get coloured up.

Thinking also that at 150 feet there might be issues with protecting the camera from the pressure at those depths.

But you're probably going to need to splice cable together to get that length.

I've never used a fish cam so excuse my ignorance on the subject. Wouldn't 150' of cable be extremely likely to get tangled up with your fishing line? I mean even if you could see at that depth, the lakers I've caught at 150' don't come straight up to the hole. I've had lakers tangle up in other fishing lines more than 10' ft away. Like I said..............i'm not fish cam savy...just thinkin'

It's for mountain lakes. My buddy has an older aquaview that's 150 ft and you can see down there in black and white. I just can't find one for sale.

Gonna let us know what's down there? ? Always wanted to throw a camera and a big bait or rip jig something flashy super deep. Maybe it's dead water down there maybe not. My old aqua view scout has a hundred feet but in normal conditions about 35 ft is where you have issues with having to have camera too close to lure to see. That's my old clunker tho. He's got many hours on him.
