I don't think there is a service center in Canada, think you have to send them to their US address. Phone number etc is all on their website or follow the warranty/non warranty links to submit a case.

When I was having difficulty with my Pancam wifi unit I had acquired a contact that was able to help me out. I'm pretty sure someone on here gave it to me.

Contact is Chris Hansen and email is chanson@versae.com. That goes back about 18 months ago, so not sure if he is still the guy.

Good Luck

The unit can be sent back to Marcum and they have a flat 50us repair charge. If it is not repairable they will simply send out a new one.

Beings how I have purchased a new different brand and used I think the Marcum is worth around 100 do not see the sense in sending it off.

SO Anyone in the Airdrie Calgary area that wants to spend around 100 bucks for the repair or replacement can have it.

pm me if you want it, I live just outside of Airdrie 3 K.

Just click on the link Rav was kind enough to put up and you can see all the details involved.

I am going to bump this thread,

I needed a repair on my Marcum VX-1P and learned that a new repair center was opened in Winnipeg. on June 5th 2017.

Marcum Technologies announces Canadian repair Center (http://marcum.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/560/~/marcum-technologies-annouces-canadian-repair-center)

Bad News is that they aren't offering the same flat rate repair service that Marcum USA offered.

Here is my experience

I mailed my unit to Video Re-Fit Shop in Winnipeg from Calgary via the cheapest mode with CP that had tracking ($13). Sent on a Monday, received on Wednesday.

Friday I received a call, that they took a look and needed to replace a transformer. Assessed cost + return shipping was $105. They estimate 3-4 days for the repair and then 3-4 days for shipping. So I am anticipating the total turnaround to be in the three week range.

In my case the repair and shipping worked out to be about the same as the $80 flat rate service YMMV.

If you decline the repair there is a $25 charge to ship you back your unit.

** Update on my service experience **

With tax the bill came to $122 so all in I was $135. I received the package yesterday. So total turnaround on the unit was 8 business days.

It will be a month or so before I get out to see if they actually fixed the problem. but all in all $135 was better than spending $600 on a new unit.

You can test it out by dangling the transducer over a hard floor (not carpet) to see if you get a return on the screen. The depth/distance won't be correct and you will have to turn the gain up a bit more than normal but you will be able to see if it works.

Thanks I will give it a try.

Thanks I will give it a try.

I tried it out last night. It seemed to work perfectly. No noise and it picked up the concrete floor in the garage.... Now I'm really getting impatient for ice.
