I'm sitting here looking at my regs and I can't find anything for the Wapiti river, I know in years past they had regs for them, but can't seem to find anything. It should be in ES4 unless i'm missing something.

If it isn't listed then you have to follow the ES4 Site-Specific Regulations as they are written on page 42 of the regs.

Like Rob say on page 42 under STREAMS
it says "For other ES4 streams and tribs not included in A...
However on page 44 it says : Smokey River
from headwaters downstream to Highway 43 & tributaries...
Wapiti River is in effect a tributary of the Smokey in this area and so this regulation applies to it. (the way I see it)
READ those regulations and see what you see.
Best to call F&W enforcement and or Fisheries management in the area.

I realized that too Duffy but by my estimation they are both rivers and as such neither could be a tributary to the other. Having said that, I could be wrong. May be one of those things that should be discussed at a higher level.
gpguy7, as Duffy says, best to check with F&W for clarification.

Hey Rob
I agree that if a "stream" is of larger length and is named as a river it should be treated seperately and not lumped in as a tributary.
READ those regulations and see what you see.
I said this with a "wink" ;) so to speak, because the two regulations on the different pages are worded the same.
