Wondering if anyone has a recommendation for good gloves for cold, rainy weather. I find that warmer, insulated gloves don't allow any feel for the rod, and regular fishing gloves have no warmth.

I just got the Patagonia neoprene ones , used them for the first time fly fishing a couple of weeks ago and it was around 2'c and slight wind , I felt everything as I usually do casting , fingers got cold but not numb like before.

Steelhead fishing on VCI in January. Use fingerless wool gloves, stick your hands in the super cold water with the wool gloves on get em good and soaked your body will start pumpin blood to get your hands warm and the wool will still insulate being wet and in no time your hands will be toasty warm and stay that way. It's a great trick I stumbled across. Was about -5 c.
In summer fishin when a cold front comin through I've used fingerless neoprene gloves and hands kept nice and warm. Keep the palm of your hand warm and fingers will stay warm also.

I use some Wallymart neoprene ice fishing gloves. $15 jobbies.

I tried several different brands of neoprene gloves and I've never found a pair that worked for me. I find them cold, wet, and awkward to wear.

Then I found these guys - https://www.kastgear.com/gloves.html

I have a pair of the Steelhead gloves that I wear when it's cold and raining and I really like them. They're warm, 100% waterproof (you can put your hand right in the water to land a fish and not get wet), and they still have very good dexterity and feel.

They only downside is they can kinda tricky to get on and off if your hands are damp because the liner bunches up a bit.

Overall, they're great gloves though, I'm very happy with them.

Thanks for the tips... those Steelhead gloves look pretty awesome, and yes can't forget wool (like I did) as it has amazing properties. I've seen guys wearing what look like heavy mechanic or welding gloves too, not sure you'd be able to feel any takes though...
