Anyone see the plane that had to land on Pine Coulee last eve.?

Happened around 7, no one hurt but it is kinda different to see a pic of a plane floating on the water.

I was there until 3:00 pm. That would have been scary to see. Good to see they made it to shore.

Habfan; we did not catch any fish, the primary goals were to get the boat in the water and running, that was very successful (yeah Auto Marine) and try out a new sounder, that had issues with Operator Error.
We left at 1:30 to 2ish.

Betting they're gonna call the pilot Sully, after this. :D

Was definitely not the intended landing point. But considering circumstances was handled well by the pilot. Water landings can end very poorly, either by flipping the plane over, or by twisting the airframe to the point that the doors won't open. Very happy both gentlemen made it out okay. And no, that water temp would not be pleasant.

Yep, any landing you can swim away from is a good one.
