They again don't know what they hell they are doing.. And another waste of money. Can they confirmed thatf Whirling Disease cannot be found is in Minnawanka ? NO ! And waht is going to stop Whirling disease that is in the Bow River from ending up in Minnawanka and Two Jack. Are they going to shoot all the birds that come to those lakes because reality is they may have come into contact with the disease from the Bow. OVER REACTION!

I agree with Mcleod, it's a false hope.

Some trout populations in Montana have apparently become resistant to whirling disease, we can only hope our trout evolve in that fashion

........But now that I think of this some more. I bet they're using this cull as an excuse to get rid of the non-native brook trout and restock it with a native cutthroat population.

I doubt they have thought that far ahead. You're giving them too much credit.

It effects them and other char but not to the degree of Trout.

Long way for a bird to fly from the Bow to Minnewanka but ya never know.

If it helps just a small amount then I am all for clearing out the lake to give the Minni lakers a fighting chance.

The Oldman is further away from the Bow and look what happened.
