Walleye were sparse the gators are thick, definetally not boring.

How was it getting across sand bar in long bay? Last year we had to push boats across the sand. Lol.

Pretty much the same...in some areas if you hit it with speed you are good to go:)
It's only sand.

It's the approach that sucks ..... lol ...... the sand leading up to the sand bar is littered with cobble rocks anywhere from the size of a grapefruit up to a soccer ball. Making your approach would suck with speed.

I'd say idle in slowly trimmed up and skid her across - you might have to give her a little push ..... but at least you won't be replacing a prop or worse yet, the lower leg unit.

My boat is definitely not going over easy - this is when a jon boat is ideal.

Couple questions about cold lake
where exactly is long bay and this sand bar is it north end?
secondly is there a boat launch on the north west side that a 14 ft tinner could be launched from. On google earth the most northern road on north west side appears to have a road down to lake in what appears to be a small cottage development.
Thanks for any advise

Long Bay is the bay where the Provincial Park boat launch is. The sandbar is at the back of the bay on the way to the lagoon. I'm not sure about the boat launch but EZM was that way and may know
