Anyone know of a shop in Alberta that might stock these?

I've bought them at bashaw sports, but mostly I bought them directly from stoeger.

Near manufacturing has a rail that I use and am happy with.

Prophet River can get them for you as well...Clay is excellent to deal with.

Thanks guys. Anyone have experience with the optilock bases and rings? I can get them locally, expensive as hell, but they have them. I am putting either a Leupold VX3 3X10X40 or Swarovski Z3 3x10 x42 , both 1" tubes on a Sako 85 270wsm. I have read most complaints were the optilocks were too high. I was wondering if the extra low rings would work out ok.

All listed are good choices. Another one is Corlanes Sports in Dawson Creek. They will ship.

I got my first 2 sets from them as they installed my first set on my Sako m75 Greywolf 338-06AI they made for me back in 2008.

They work fine, but are heavy and high. Also the idea of adding a base to a rifle with integral bases makes me puke in my mouth a little.

That said if you are insisting on using them, be sure to buy the new version updated in 2017. The bases have nicer lines, and the rings lock into the bases at 90 degrees.

I am not insisting on using the base/rings combo but having hard time finding the ring mounts which I would prefer. Tried a few dealers no luck yet.

Get ahold of stoeger then directly...I just got a set of the low ringmounts from them for my rifle.

Call stoeger. If they don't have any, let me know I have a few extra sets.

You are like me double gun, hoarding a few sets...:sHa_shakeshout:

I did the same back in 2008/09 as they were hard to find. I have 2 sets left in the safe waiting for a home in the future- one for a build I want to do again off a Sako m75 rifle.
