I was wondering myself the other day and came across this: http://aep.alberta.ca/forms-maps-services/maps/fish-stocking-map/default.aspx?id=5223

Might have to bring my rod next ride out.

From looking at past stocking reports it looks like they don't stock it until first or second week in June.

They are building a new bridge and have the road closed until aug. There is another way around but you need a quad or big 4x4 to access. Hope this helps

Do you know which bridge is being replaced? I also heard that they are closing the 4x4 access from the south because they do not want vehicles crossing the river till August as well.

I am always a year too late. Last year I was going to do some exploring down in Castle Mtn area and now its closed, this year its Margaret.

Ah well :sign0176:

It's probably the bridge just before the camp with buildings a few kms down the waiparous valley road. I've heard they are closing any trail that crosses a creek without a bridge but have only heard second hand

yes they are building a bridge near the kids camp. the whole area is closed as well, from the camp to the waiparous valley road, and the other side of river that trail towards lost knife is closed. The alternate access trail to margaret lake is not an easy or stock friendly trail. The alternate access trail starts at the end of the waiparous valley road.
