Smaller Pike/Waleye lake Saskatoon

I am planning a trip to Saskatoon for Canada long weekend and am wondering if anyone can recommend a smaller size lake that we can eat some walleye or pike out of. I would like to go to Diefenbaker or Last Mountain but I only have a float tube and have heard the winds/waves can be deadly. Can anyone recommend a decent lake? TIA

Lots around stoon. Blackstrap and bradwell are easily accessed by float tube. Check in at the fishin hole , they'll point you in the right direction. Most lakes around stoon have special limits and are barbless so check your regs.

Loon lake is exactly what you're looking for.

If you are talking Makwa Lake beside the town of Loon Lake, it isn't exactly close to Saskatoon. Probably 3-3.5 hour drive.

Blackstrap !! Although walleye and pike are in the coulees all around Diefenbaker Lake that can be fished safely out of a tube. Danielson park boat launch has a nice deep coulée that you can throw a stone across, some nice eyes and rainbows.
