Hello i recently picked up a brand new marlin 336 30 30. Took it out and with in my first 100 rounds the barrel band screw snapped in three pieces. Also i didnt do my research and have just discovered the marlin flop. Anyway been looking around for parts and im wondering where you guys would try to pick up a barrle screw and potentially a trigger assembly.

Western Gun Parts in Edmonton will probably have something like that.

They won't just sell you a barrel screw and/or trigger assembly? That's odd, they've shipped misc. parts for my 1895 more than once.

They keep trying to get me to warrenty it and send the entire rifle over. Maybe ill have to just try ordering one.

Get in touch with Marlin, they may just send you some free stuff. Both Ruger and Savage have been good to me in the past even when I offered to purchase parts needed.

I picked up a trigger kit from a place in Alaska a few years ago for my 1895. I think the company is called Wild West guns, and it's a Trigger Happy kit. It was about $100 at the time, worth the money in my opinion as it eliminated the floppy trigger.

Yeah, that Gravel Agency is a finicky place.
Once they just sent me the replacement part, other time they wanted me to send in the rifle for warranty work, which I did. So it cost me about $60-$70 in shipping to replace a $15 part in warranty. They must get a commission from Canada Post. :-)
You can also try Numrich Gun Parts www.gunpartscorp.com.

Good luck!
