hot lures for traver's res.

we are heading to Traver's res for opening weekend (May 8th) we have never fished it and was wondering if any one new some "secret" lures that work well there. we are thinking of trolling the shallows with cranks.

take along some Len Thompson spoons in red and white and 5 of diamonds, always had luck with them in Travers.

I've always had luck trolling the shallows that time of year with the biggest perch looking rapala you can find.

I went down there last year for Opening Weekend and the fishing was slower then id ever seen it I think we caught 6 or 7 pike all weekend Couldnt find a walleye anywhere mind you the weater was the ****s all weekend. So I dont know what to tell you about that time of year. in the summer i have alot of success Trolling Bottom Bouncer and spinner Blades Also with CrankBaits Go shallow and Follow the weedbeds troll quite a bit slower then you would in the early summer.
