Interesting stuff happening with the Liberals new bill to give Quebec the federal gun registry data.... THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DESTROYED

The Supreme Court ordered in 2015 that the Quebec data must be destroyed, yet here we are now, with the Liberals tabling a bill to give them the data? Is there any other data for the other provinces? Who knows.

The information commissioner apparently felt it was her duty to not let these records be destroyed. If she didn't destroy them, she should be tossed in jail.

The gun registry was revoked by the Conservative government and they were responsible for ordering the information destroyed.

I read the title and thought it was about time we had a registry for liberals; maybe it could be expanded to include socialists, progressives, well-meaning busybodies, and a general column for useful idiots. :sHa_sarcasticlol:

As for the long gun registry, it will be interesting to hear them explain why it was not destroyed, and why no one will face criminal charges for its continued existence.
