Thanks

I prefer the Tikka, the main reason being a superior trigger.

I have had a few of them. What Elk says is the truth. Most Brownings are quite accurate, but almost all Tikkas are very accurate, have great factory triggers as mentioned, and the barrels roll off the same line as Sakos. You will not go wrong either way, but the triggers are not even close.

As above awsome barrels and good triggers. But tikka has some pretty.crappy feeling stocks. I have 2 a bolts and a timmney trigger spring kit for 30 bucks put both at 3 ibs clean and crisp. The xbolts I have both micro style for the kids came set at 3.24 ibs. Just some info for yah.
Go with what fits the best. Remember a .300 win kicks pretty good if you have 2 light of a gun.

If it were my money it would be the tikka with a wood or laminate stock, stainless barrel and a limbsaver recoil pad. Topped with talley low rings and a swaro or zeiss scope in a 3-15x40

Just purchased a tikka t3x in lite 7mm rem was told to install a limb saver but they feel cheap and look hideous but the recoil pad on them is certainly better then the t3

No experience with Brownings, but am a big fan of Tikkas. The T3x improves the few nitpicks people had with the T3 (bigger ejection port, steel recoil lug, quieter stock, better recoil pad). I keep thinking about getting a T3x to go with my T3 compact. I did put a limbsaver on it, the old recoil pad didn't have much give but the new one seems better.

I'd also go with the stainless laminate in a 300wm; that's a lot of cartridge in a lightweight gun and I love the look of the grey laminate. YMMV though and the new tikka synthetic stock has some nice features.

The T3X is an improvement over the T3, but will have substantial recoil in a 300. The Browning stainless stalker, is available in both the X and A Bolt. Can't compare when you have not specified the one you are considering. The Browning's both have adjustable triggers, down under three pounds and are more accurate than most fellows think they can shoot.:) Good luck with the one you pick.

I had the browning in 300win. Loved it. Now I have a couple Tikka's in non magnum calibres, I could see the concern with a t3 in the recoil department. Both equally accurate in my experience.

My main hunting rifle is a Browning Xbolt 300WM. I love it. Prefect fit for me. I reload so its very accurate. I also have a Sako 85, Tikka's handsome big brother. Smoother bolt and trigger on my Sako then the X-bolt. Haven't taken the Sako out hunting yet, but kills steel out to 600 yds. Pick the rifle that fits you best. Both Rifle will shoot really nice.

Average groups size from my xbolt 338 win mag chucking 250 grain Accubonds has made me very happy. Just waiting on my CDS dial from Korth so i can fine tune its zero

My xbolt 270 win shooting 130grain accubonds shoots nice ragged holes. I like the adjustable feather trigger on the xbolt.

Buy the one that fits your body the best any rifle that comes with a sub moa guarantee and no target to prove it is just marketing gimmicks. Both are great rifles and will shoot fine for hunting.
