Only managed one decent white fish and a small cuttie in 5hrs fishing pool after pool, the river is fishing extremly slow, for me anyways. Anyone have any thoughts on what lures might bring them around Im thinking of chucking a couple different small crank baits and see if that works?

Fish tight to the log jams, with bigger hooks then you feel comfortable using. If you're not losing a couple hooks a day you're not fishing tight enough to the cover. 00 Len Thompson's and bigger work well. A 10'' brown will hit a spoon that size, especially this time of year. I even had a few 8'' brookies smack it last spring. Good luck, can be tough this time of year but it can also be very very productive. Another one of my favorite spring river tricks is fishing brass as the water gets stained, silver if it gets muddy.
