This is definitely worth a shot in asking although I have no expectations for replies!

Renting a boat this weekend (first time fishing from a boat and not from the shore) and I'm also taking advantage of free fishing weekend by taking 2 people who have never fished before. We're only going to be out on the boat for about 2 hours but I would love to get them hooked up on some fish so that they can get hooked on fishing!

Not sure if the boat itself will have any electronics on it so I'm bringing out an iBobber (or what do you guys think about bringing an Ice-55 flasher?) just to see the bottom and my Phone as a GPS for coordinates.

Anyways, if you are willing to give up some of your honey holes feel free to message me and I'll definitely keep them to myself. And in return hopefully send you some fish pictures?

Thanks Guys!

There isn't too many places on the lake where you won't find willing fish. Depending on the area of the lake, find some weeds, the edge of that or a drop off adjacent and you will be into fish.

Launch your boat at the provincial park launch, head out towards the train tracks and cut right across the lake to the other side. Troll 7-10 feet feet of water, or jigs or spoons, anything pretty much lol. Tons of smaller walleyes there.

Being a noob boater its also a good idea to stay close-ish to launch area in case wind picks up, could get dangerous and wet real quick.

Went out yesterday for a couple of hours and fished 7-10 feet of water and Walters were just hitting almost every cast. I loved it. Wish I could have fished more myself but I was busy helping my other two friends who are new at fishing get on some fish which in return I think got them hooked on fishing and they were already asking when we can get out next!!!
