So I think I figured out how to use a slip bobber. Going to spray in the evening to try to get some.....I'll try maggots on a WW or some other fly....cast out about 30 to 40 feet and maybe 40 feet down?

Does this sound right? ANY one know what depths the whites might be at? Any pointers? Gunna try just to the right of driftwood boat launch.....

I'm thinking I'll. Start at 630 pm....till like 930....will whites also bite at dusk? Or is day time ok?

Thanks for any suggestions....

Not sure, but that might make hooking them a bit tough. Would keep it closer to the surface. But you could try it and see.

Ok so maybe 20 feet? Lol....

To get a hook set at that angle you need a longer rod.

To get a hook set at that angle you need a longer rod.

Or employ my ultra nerdy yet very effective saying: just reel till you feel, then set that hook...

20' plus is tough though lol. But not impossible

You are asking a lot if you think the weight of a wire worm is going to pull 30 or 40 feet of line through a slip bobber. You better figure out a way to add a weight to your rig. Good luck with the whites!!

Yeah a couple well placed split shots will do the trick. Works when I slip for 'Bows

so i went out yesterday got to the lake by 620 pm. Caught 3 lakers....all small...then when it started to get dark...i through on the slip bobber and tried for whites. Originally i was on the east side of the lake and parked left of driftwood boat launch in the little parking lot. It was so shallow and go no bites for lakers.......so went to the west camp gound side.

after catching the 3 lakers i tried for the whites with no success.....i swear i never catch whites when i target them.

anyone know a spot on the lake where whites might hang out? i tried a WW and Copper john tipped with maggots....but nothing.......

any help greatly appreciated.
