First time fishing on the Paddle Boat getting a different perspective fishing for walleye. During this clip I'm switching up lures and telling you how I fish each one. I move onto the next lure after catching a fish on the discussed lure. Thought this was a fun little video to show you ways to catch summer walleye without the use of bait. Works great especially on lakes with BAIT BANS. There are some with bait bans and bait restrictions in Alberta and Beyond where these tips will help you score more fish your next time out. Thanks for watching.

Just incase it's not clear when I say the names here's the list.
Dynamic Lures HD Ice
Slender Spoon
Kamooki
Cicada
Len Thompson
Live Target Rattle Bait
Big Hammer Swimbait and Northland Tackle Jig Head

You should give jigging lipless cranks a shot as well as jigging raps. Great vid btw

When you're talking Jigging lipless cranks... you're talking like that live target lure I was using right? And the Dynamic lures HD Ice. Both I'd consider classifying in the lipless crank category. Or do you mean something different?

I actually used a Jigging Rap that day and gave it a really good try with no success. Wanted to feature it since i know other guys have good luck with them, but not me. I know Aaron from Uncut Angling uses them all the time. I haven't found a rhythm with one yet. Even ice fishing never had much luck with them.

So prior to using in a video I'll actually have to figure out how to catch fish on it which is hard to do when everything else is catching except for it, haha!

Sorry Brandon, yup that's what I meant. I must have missed that part my attention was split between fishing videos talking to my brother and drinking a beer. Just rewatched. You do a good job explaining your techniques. Thanks again and keep it up.

If you had to pick one lure to catch Walleye what would it be?

Currently mine would be a 1/8-1/4 ounce chartreuse Jig with some sort of plastic on there. But I'll have to give some of the lures you used a try as well.

It really depends where you're fishing, size of fish you're after, time or year, their mood and so on. So to tell you the truth I don't have a one lure fits all.

Favorite trolling lure for under 15 feet is a Rapala Tail Dancer.

Favorite jigs are the VMC in pretty much any color with a leach. This is all round most dependable when the fish are holed up in a bad mood.

Slow trolling or drifting with lindy rigs and bottom bouncers.

Favorite casting lure is the big hammer or berkley havoc Swimbait plastics on a jig.

Favorite ice fishing lure is a slender spoon.

Even though jigs typically work very well I find it such a boring method of catching walleye and like a bit more active type of fishing. Just my feeling though. No offense to the joggers out there. I do it too.

can i guess what lake this is?If you need permission to guess I'm guessing you're not sure if you should. If you need to guess just send me a pm. It's pretty recognizable if you've been there before.

I've caught a couple Walleye on spinnerbaits from the Red Deer. And one on a big, deep diving jerk bait From Pine lake. But every other one has come on jigs so far.

I'll have to give those swimbaits a try! I personally have a lot more fun casting and working a bait then sitting still and jigging too. But at the end of the day I'll jig a minnow if that's what it takes.

Would you recommend the Vmc jig head and leech combo for jaw jacker set up ?

Yup that's all I use now on my Jaw Jackers. Higher quality hook, sharper point, better material. Get better hook sets and less fish lost.

I cover the whole Jaw Jacker walleye set up in this vide.
