Has anyone been to East Pit lately? I was hoping to give it a try after work this week and was wandering if ice is off.
Thanks,
Leon

Ice is off. I was there on Saturday, few hard hits, but no fish. All day out was excellent for me. Next weekend I'll go again.

How is fishing at East Pit generally? I fished it once through the ice, caught a nice-sized trout.
Is it worth hiking my canoe up there or is the fishing just as good off shore?

I'm assuming it didn't winterkill then. I don't know if it normally does or not...

I do not think it winter kills. I believe it is the deepest of all the stocked lakes. Deepest spot is around 80 feet with an average depth of 30 feet I think.
