Airdre area fishing for kids

I was wondering if anyone could let me know where I could take my 6 year old nephew fishing? He lives in Airdre, and I live up in Edmonton so I don't know of any spots in that area. I am really just looking for a place to take him were he could catch lots of fish, size is not a concern. He has been out twice before and loves to fish, I just want to keep the enthusiasm he has for the sport alive and well.

That really depends on when you are coming down? The local ponds should be stocked in the next couple of weeks. If Dewitts pond is stocked before you get out here i would recommend there. You basically take Big Springs right out of Airdrie and drive a couple minutes till you see a sign that says Dewitts pond left, take a left there and then your first right and the pond is straight ahead

McLean Pond would be a good place to try too. It's out just past Bragg Creek on HW 68. It's out in the Foothills, and a good place to take beginners.
