how do these guys on TV identify a fishes sex so quickly "This is a beautiful 2 yr old female"?
Using a rainbow as an example just how the heck do you tell?

You can tell by the size of their mouth / jaw... a female's "mouth" will end just under her eye, while a male's mouth will go past the eye.
