Worst feeling in the world is catching two Sturgeon 45 minutes apart and having no one to share it with or take a picture. Those are the issues you face when you fish the North Saskatchewan by yourself.
I have fished this River 10 times in the last 3 weeks most days getting skunked. But not today.

Nice fish! The outdoors rewards those who put in the effort, way to be persistent. The feeling of getting skunked quickly disappears when you hook into something like that.

Fishing alone does suck for the reason you mentioned, it's always nice sharing the moment and then having a buddy capture it with a camera. In my case, I have a **** poor memory, so looking back on photos takes me back to the moment. I have a feeling there'll be some people on here that'll want to go fishing with you after seeing this!

Nice to see the staff college shirt getting greased too hahahah

You were so excited you decided to hump it? :) Well I guess there's a first for everything.
Just joking, nice fish!! What was your guess on weight/length?

That's a great dino Rod !

That is a pretty darn big one actually. I can't believe you landed it without my expert supervision and guidance.

That's another one off your bucket list this year !!!!

Congrats on your first Sturgeon. I fish the NSR alone most of the time, and damn it can be hard to get a good pic. I think you did a great job of it, and thank goodness those dinosaurs are tough.
Did you measure it? That is a big one!

Length x length x girth = weight. Doesn't require injuring the gill plate or the gills with questionable scales.

It seems the most exciting things like big fish happen when a person is alone. This happens so that person will have some good stories to tell to their grandkids.

Nice fish.

Silly question, but what are units in? Units are all in feet?
