Lake Nakamun

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum. We are thinking of purchasing /renting a lake lot out at Lake Nakamun and we were wondering how the fishing is out there. We are looking for a good fishing lake as well as a boating / tubing lake. Anyone have any input on the lake? Good, bad, ok?

Poor in all regards....very green, bad algae blooms, constant winter kills of fish.

One of the last places id consider for a recreational lake lot.

Nakamun goes through cycles. Partial winter kill, 2-3 years of few fish, 2-3 years of lots of fish, partial winterkill. The good years can have epic perch fishing as the lake has a ton of forage. It's also very well known, there will be lots of other people fishing and lots of kids.

Not so great for boating/tubing, lots of weeds and algae in summer. But good luck getting away from those things, that's just life here.

It's far enough from the rez that they don't have a lot of problems, but like any recreational property there can be theft issues.
