I'm going to experiment with making bait using ground-up common foods. I've researched this and seems that cheesecloth is a popular casing but I want to take it a step further and use something more like sausage casing but the diameter is too big to resemble a worm/grub. Any suggestions? Thank you.

A couple things pop into my mind ... Hollow shoe lace, fabric/upholstery hollow piping ...

also - I have use pantyhose the same way you would use cheese cloth for dangling baits.

Thanks for the tip on the pantyhose.

Thanks for the tips! I'm actually going to try wrapping the mixture into beef tripe and stitching it shut. Should look like a grub and be full of scent/flavor.
