Fly fishing lake whites

Any tips on when to fish Gull lake for whites with a fly rod?is it a goid time of year now ?Thanks

I've always wanted to do this but haven't given it a try.

I've read numerous stuff on it and most people say the same.

In the Fall schools of them will move to the shallow looking for food.

the only thing i can suggest is if you carry a good supply of wire worms of assorted colours. i noticed each lake they prefer different colours.

Lake whites spawn in the fall. They like rocky bottoms, like the tresle at Wabamun in the days of old.

Right now the action should be pickin up as its cooling down, wire worm below an indicator. Awesome fly fishing
