i hear in the regulations theres a lake called isle lake and it has bass! in albeta! but it said bass havent been stocked in it for years and some natural reproduction has occured. now there is more than one isle lake in alberta so if you want to go make sure its the right one.:D

Isle Lake hummm havent heard that one but Island lake north of Smoky lake at one time had bass in it .

These are B.C. bucketmouths,from Duck Lake,near Creston.
Lotsa fun,especially on topwater baits;that'll stop yer heart!
As for Island Lake,I've heard this question come up a few times over the years, & have yet to hear any confirmation that there are any bass left in there.

There was a thread on the Forum a while back in which someone posted a picture of a supposed Island Lake smallmouth bass. But now I'm not really sure if they were genuine.....................

Bass were only stocked in Island Lake, never in Isle Lake.

Island lake north of the town of Smoky Lake was one of 5 lakes that was stocked with Bass( only lake that they survived in), heard of some caught there about 5 years ago(by TJ Schwankey(sp)in an article he wrote). Access is a rough trail, from the highway in to the east.

I guess I can thank Mr. Schwanky for any & all bass that I've caught over the years at Duck Lake;I read about it in an article he wrote in "The Outdoor Edge" magazine, about 16 years ago. Thanks, TJ!

Search the forum, someone posted some pics of some nice ones caught in 2002. I have not heard of anyone catching any since.
