I have a case 8465 baler Which I am about ready to burn, I have changed a lot of parts on it this year the newest problem is that the outside belts will not track properly they keep running over the belts next to them all the bearings appear to be good any suggestions?

Have you repaired or changed a belt or 2? If there is a short one it will misalign and walk sometimes.

Are you baling straw?

Is it both belts not tracking straight or just one.?
Are you filing the bale evenly?

Yeah I am, but the dam thing now runs off track even just sitting there with the belts turning with nothing in it, and yes I changed the two outside belts about 100 bales ago

Where is the belt overlap occurring? Front, top, rear rollers?

Is there crud built up on the rollers?

It happens on the front bottom rollers the ones directly below the housing the clutch is in, there is an octagon shaped bar with some guides on it, the rollers are clean

Always put new belts to the middle, that is where they naturally migrate. Switch the two center to the outsides and the new ones to the middle and it will be good.

Is that bar straight? I think there is supposed to a support in the centre that acts like a steady bearing if I remember correct

From what I can tell it is straight and there is a centre support

I will give that a shot

When you say "some guides", there should be a guide on either side of each belt. I've had a couple of them, one with about 35 000 bales on it, and never had that problem with either one. Other than not feeding oat straw, I didn't have much trouble with either baler.
