Have fished there for years and fishings been great for lakers and pike. Trout can be anywhere from 10 to 30' down. Downriggers are a great help, but a 4oz. weight trolling over 25' to 60' of water can produce well too.

We fish there twice a year, from the launch at Pierce Lake Lodge go right when you get out of the bay under the bridge into the river. The weed beds there have some good holes for pike.

If that's not working pull the boat out of the lake and head to Johnson, or Lac Des Isles (both 15-20 minutes away)...Johnson is a really small lake but we had good luck on it. At Lac Des Isles Ranger Bay was good.

Waterhen is awesome as well...usually busy though
