I have heard that some ranchers east of Hanna had a bunch of cattle die due to the big snow storm. Has anyone been out and about and see any dead wildlife? Antelope or deer?

I was on a lease in 312 on Monday and there were two dead cattle calves that had appeared to of died overnight. I thought it must have been storm related.

Cattle are dumb at times. During a storm they'll get pushed into a corner. If conditions are bad they can be covered with snow in a short time and suffocate. They will push in very tight. They also will go into low wet areas and get covered with snow. The cattle don't have a winter coat on yet and if they get soaked and then have 70kph wind blowing on them they are going to cool off fast. Also they are not on the best feed right now which doesnt help their ability to make heat.
