I also once read in "Stolen Continents" by Ronald Wright that John Smith didn't marry Pocahontas; and he was a shortass fat guy with a heavy beard who looked more like a gorilla than anything else.

And he was sent back to England for medical treatment. Not because of a war-wound, but because a pouch of gunpowder he wore around his neck exploded. :D
