Does anyone know if the Waterton Buffalo survived the fire in the park?
We passed there today and the area seemed burnt out. I could not find anything on Google.

They moved them out before the fire. Not sure when they're bringing them back.

There's one that didn't want to be loaded so they left him behind. He was fine Saturday when we saw him there.
I'd imagine they got some fencing to do before the bison come back

I would say they may also have to wait for some greenery to come back unless they want to turn the paddock into a feed lot.
It seemed like there was a lot of new fencing along the road but I did not pay attention to the paddock.
Just glad the bison are OK.

Fence next to the road is on private land. , park has a lot of fencing to do on their perimeters.
