Third party dealers for Monitronics based out of Dallas. Meaning when your alarm goes off, its Monitronics (now branded as MONI) that responds and deals with it. They have been with Monitronics since ADT (who wanted no part with Liberty) bought Protectron from Reliance a couple years ago. Liberty are basically the local sellers of it. They have a lot of good reviews but also a horrible summer sales program that includes bonuses for employees that leave positive reviews.

They tried their model out east and it failed miserably, being banned from multiple towns. Many of the ownership came from Utah. The actual equipment isnt the best either, using mainly GE panels.

Thats what I know.

Had one of there sales people in our home last month. The longer he stayed the better the deals got. Had never heard of them before this guy showed up at our door. Finally had to ask him to leave.

Door to door home security system sales? I default to assuming that anyone wanting in to discuss home security uninvited is casing the place for a break in. I discuss nothing with door to door salespeople, ever.

Answer: "We're happy with our current system & provider, now get lost" (politely)
