hey all i have this lake "X" i want to go fish (boat in tow). according to the fishing regs its still open but the main gate entering the lake is all locked up because of the campground is closed for the season. i could park at the gate and walk in but its a hell of a long walk. i could find another way in by vehicle but i am pretty sure CO's would not be too impressed even though there is no posted "no trespassing" signs. the locked gate really surprised me as its never been locked in the past. maybe under new type of management?

as long as the other way in isn't going across private land i dion't see the CO's having a problem with you accessing the lake via a different route. as long as it is crown land you can cross it to access a public lake.

yeah its so disappointing i was so looking forward to ice fishing this lake but gonna have to make a few phone calls to fish and wildlife of that district and see what the deal is. at least gull lake has multiple entrances to get access. the lake i want to go to this is the ONLY road in.

Yeh, it's a pity when you can't get access to a lake that you can legally fish.
