The best Christmas gift I could imagine

Tuesday was a rather regular day. Went to work, paid the bills. Came home to see the wife and see how her and baby to be were. Had dinner, watched a movie, and then everything changed. I was letting the dog out when the wife came downstairs and said “I’m having contractions”. Gave the dog some water, grabbed the baby bag and headed to the hospital. After a few hours they determined her contractions weren’t close enough together so they sent us packing. Got home and took a power nap, then was told “it’s time to go back”. Off we went again. After a lot of labour and waiting for things to progress, Thursday at 3:11pm our lives changed. We welcome out first child, a precious little angel named Georgia into the world. Totally unexpected at just about 4 weeks early, but she is as healthy as can be. It’s a Christmas gift I never would have imagined.

I don’t think anyone can prepare for becoming a parent. It’s almost unbelievable how instantaneously your life changes when you see that little one for the first time. All I can say is, I could have never possibly imagined how amazing it feels to be a Dad.

Congrats. You talk about it changing things when you see your little one for the first time. Very true, for me that was nine years ago and boy did things change. I thank god every day for what I have.

We had our first when I was 20, it settled me down in a hurry. People said how much I would missing starting young. I don't have a single regret in the world about it.

Kid's! I remember those dam things, they cry and soil themselves for the first two years of their lives. Then they start walking and break things, the house is turned upside down for years and always noisy. They cost a large fortune to raise and you stay awake worried about them your whole live. Yep they are a pain in the ass:angry3: And I loved every second of it, and all that grab that came with it. My wife and I had two girls, they are our lives and my best accomplishment. Soon grand kids will be here I hope, so I can see it all again. If you thought you where living a great live before now, hang on, the best is yet to come. Haha. Took me about a year for it to sink in I was a daddy ..... haha. Got 3 of the terrors now ....... 1st one is magical though , my Reese is pretty spoiled , Barrett's a mamas boy and Sierra now is the high maintenance princess ......
