Any members know how much snow is east of Rock Is. Lake? Too much snow for a quad ride?

Thanks, and Happy New Year!! 🎊

The snow around Calling Lake is calf deep. That's about 20 km from Rock Island.

It is a grainy snow, because of freeze - thaw, but in a low spot where the wind has blown, it is deeper.

As for using a quad, sure, kind of...

I do not know what kind of quad you have, or whether you are willing to shovel if you get in a low spot, but with this limitation stated, you are on the edge of quad conditions.

Sledding is not bad though!

Any members know of the snow conditions at Rock Island Lake?

I can use the quad or a sled just can’t take both.

Thanks!

I'd assume quad will be good.

In the past at this time of year I’ve gone through Athabasca with zero snow, got to Rock Island and there was well over 18”. Made for a long day on the quad!
