Some of these would be awesome for hunting, fishing and getting and staying in the back country. And if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it. :)

I'd take No. 2, and then paint it.

240 gallon fuel capacity? Where the heck do they store it all? Either way That’s amazing for a vehicle that size. Pretty cool if I lived in Africa or Australia I’d definitely want one. The ford f550 is pretty cool too, I’ve seen several of them down here by Yellowstone his year. 2 during hunting season.

I'm guessing what was the bed of the standard truck. It looks like the floor of the camper area is near the top of the seat, minus the headrest, so there's room for something under there, and the gas cap is still near stock location.

Some cool machines there.
I’ll may be bringing 1-2 right hand drive Landcruisers / Hilux 4x’s back from Aus next year.
Company allows me a full 40’ sea can for my personal possessions, oh the possibilities ...

That would be my choice as well. The Toyota isn't bad either. Neither are really that practical for hunting though.

x2 on that action, that looks like some serious ground clearance for a camper!

This is my Au truck shopping site.
4.5 Lt Turbo diesel is the workhorse.

That’s 900 liters. The last Kenworth T800 fuel tank I bought was 280 liters. I don’t think that little 3 liter engine will have much jam hauling around close to 1000 liters.....

I love these things. A few years back I saw one built on a Unimog platform. I've yet to see anything on 4 wheels cooler than that!

I'm guessing its a typo and it should be in liters. 240 liters = approx 60 gallons so actually realistic.

I imported from Japan a ‘88 BJ74 with the FRP top about 12 years ago. 4-cyl turbo diesel, pto winch, cable lockers front and rear with only 48,000 kms on it.

Landed it was about $7,000.

Did anyone else browse the rest of the site. They have mini scuba dive tanks that give you 5-10 minutes underwater and can refilled with a high pressure hand pump. I want one. Lol. About $1000 though.

The Hilux is pretty sick. Too bad they don’t sell em here.

Dam, CA Customs emailed me back, I am limited to bringing back either brand new (out of the question) or 15 yr old or older vehicles.
But there are still some 2003 era Landcruiser Turbo diesels here is great shape.

Was it RHD ?

Yes. One of the reasons I got rid of it. Making around $10,000 profit on the sale was also an influence.:)

My point was that all Cruisers out of Australia are also RHD and they are super expensive there. Buying one straight out of Japan is the way to go if you don’t mind RHD. I also had a Canadian version BJ70 that was all rusted out and I planned on swapping steering and interior over to the 74, thus ending up with LHD. I sold it before that happened.

Tree, how much are the 03's selling for over there? Do you plan on selling a few of the ones you bring back? I'd be interested.

Unfortunately what Posi said is true, the prices are high here in Au.
Even the ‘03-04 T Landcruisers in good condition are $25–$30k.
And with this likely my only assignment down here this is a one time transport.
My thoughts were 2 vehicles, one to keep and one to flip and pay for a chunk of my keeper.

A guy needs to figure out how to bring one in from the Middle East, there are a million of them there running around the oilfields.
