Walleye on gull

Where are the walleye biting on gull lake , have a couple tags I want to fill.

Try going out a few hundred meters south of the Parkland Beach marina on the north end. There's a few walleye known to hang out in that area :-)

Ya we tried last Saturday to find some walleye. All we caught was hammer handle pike

There are a lot of walleye in there but has been pretty slow me and a buddy where out a few days ago only caught 9 we also got 7 pike and 5 perch that's pretty slow for us time before only caught 11 fish all together fishing 12-14 ft deep really have too work them all fish except one where caught well jigging aggressive

Go deep off the point. I caught a beauty in 15 feet. Seen him coming in on the flasher. He weighed 2 pounds

Haha no! I was fishing for whitefish and ended up with a beautiful walleye. I was using a small silver lure and he just came in and grabbed it. I just had him by his lip and he was amazingly chill while I popped the lure out at the hole. Probably been caught before and knew I was going to free him. A nice fat one

I still have one tag for gull as well, used one up in the spring, had decent one on a couple weeeks ago but didn’t get hook set right, near aspen. And haven’t seen another walleye since, headed out tomorrow to search for them.

We caught some really nice, healthy walleye on the south side near Aspen last year. A few over 5-6 lbs actually.

We set up (right on the dropping slope) significantly deeper than we usually do, on the second steep slope that goes into 20+ feet of water.

My best lure seemed to be the bigger Lindy rattlin' flyers and small rapala rattlin' raps.

I most cases they come in, have a look, and you have drop your lure into the mud/sand and gently stir up some silt and they will grab it.

Otherwise, most of the walleye in there seem to be quite a bit smarter compared to other lakes - don't know why - they just seem a little harder to entice.

Give that a try. Works for us.
