I see this book for sale on Amazon and priced from $199.00 (torn binding) to
$999.00 (excellent condition) Has this book become a collectors item since Barry,s passing or is someone just "Fishing"?

Often Amazon's pricing program makes mistakes, especially on books that haven't sold much. I checked out the book on AbeBooks.com, often a better place to find used books, and they want US$495 for it. So, I guess Amazon's price (C$199.99) might be OK. Both places do list who's selling them. It might be worth your while to contact them directly...?

Bought mine a couple years ago from the Fishin Hole in Calgary, for around $25.

The Amazon third party sellers have robots that update pricing based on what other sellers are asking. It has nothing to do with what the book sells for in a legitimate market. The robots will chase each other upwards as prices increase from each seller. The famous Ververka Spey and Dee flies book was priced at over $2000. Out of print, they actually sell for about $75 US. Alibris is a much more reasonable used book market.
