fishing the bow

So i was fishing the bow yesterday with spinners and didnt catch crap. I decided to make a fly fishing rod out for my spincast rod because i had a floating fly for some odd reason. Surprisingly it casted about 5 ft away from shore lol! As i was casting 4 trouts actually came up and tried to eat my fly but they missed it all 4 times just by a hair.

But my question is, i saw this one fish jump up for my fly and it was a yellow/gold color shaped like a perch but it wasnt a perch. Any idea what it was?

Depeding where you were, could be a walleye or sauger?
