Regarding the recent "Northern Pike and Walleye Management Frameworks" Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase3.

Did you feel the initial survey was biased? They claim the consensus was to go to Catch and Release.

I'll make sure the fisheries bios and Dave Park / Bill Patterson get the results of this vote.

The fisheries plan in the last couple decades seems to me summed up in a few steps, step 1 stock millions of walleye fry into lakes as everyone loves to eat walleye. Step 2 make walleye in these lakes C&R 🤔 step 3 after the overpopulated walleye have strongly impacted or collapsed the fishery by eating themselves of house and Home make everything thing else C&R step 4 don’t conduct surveys or do current reseach on individual lakes but close down entire regions in a staged process over a few years
All done without real attempts at consultation, mainly information sessions telling people what they plan on doing in a few months.

These surveys are the governments poor attempt to say they have consulted with anglers and stakeholders. The problem is the way questions are worded and the limited answers provided, you are driven towards one specific answer which happens to be what the GOV wants for that lake!!! This is not real consultation, they have their minds made up and this is just a show so they can say look we did consult public.
